Why has Mendeley Web Importer on Chrome been disabled and is asking me to approve notifications?

Mendeley Web Importer requested additional browser permissions in order to display notifications. As a security measure, Chrome disables extensions that request additional permissions until the user approves or declines the use of those permissions.

The notification permission is used to show errors in the case that Mendeley Web Importer cannot import a PDF (for instance, if you load a local PDF file into Chrome, which is not permitted to be accessed for other security reasons).
