Does Knovel support Single Sign On authentication?

Yes, Knovel supports the following types of Single Sign On authentication:

• OpenAthens
• Shibboleth for the UK Federation / JISC
• SAML

To set up OpenAthens, please contact Elsevier Support through our webform with your organization’s Entity ID and Federation Scope. The support team will associate your Athens ID to your Knovel account so your users can authenticate through your Athens set up.

To set up Shibboleth, please contact Elsevier Support through our webform and provide your Shibboleth Entity ID. Your Shibboleth entity ID will be associated with your Knovel account so your users can authenticate through Shibboleth.

Customers who wish to integrate their single sign on systems via SAML should reach out to their account manager, who will set up a meeting with the integration team.
