How do I activate my access to Engineering Village using Registration ID?

Use Registration ID to easily create a new Engineering Village account or to link to an existing Engineering Village account. After your access to your institution's subscription to Engineering Village is established, you can sign into your account from anywhere on any device.

Note: The Registration ID and Passcodes are unique for each user and may be used only once to associate a user with their profile.
Note: The Registration ID and the Passcode entry fields are case sensitive.
- Open any Internet browser and enter the URL for the Engineering Village registration page to begin the activation process. The Elsevier ‘Get Access’ page opens.
- Enter the Registration ID and Passcode that your institution's librarian or administrator provided to you.
- Click ‘Continue.’ A confirmation screen opens that informs you that your Registration ID redemption was a success.
- Click ‘Continue’ so that you can add your institution's name to your account. The Elsevier ‘Register’ page opens.
- Enter your email address. Elsevier Identity will send a note to your email account to confirm your identity.
- Click the ‘Add a Password’ button or click the link in the email note to return to the ‘Register’ page. Your email address will be pre-populated on the email line of this page.
- Enter your ‘Given’ (or ‘first’) name and your ‘Family’ (or ‘last’) name on the appropriate lines.
- Create and enter a new password according to the password criteria listed in the guidelines on the page.
- Select the ‘Stay signed in’ check box if you want to remain signed in.
- Click ‘Register.’ A confirmation screen informs you that you now have an Elsevier account.
- Click ‘Continue’ to proceed to Engineering Village.

- Click ‘Continue.’ The Elsevier ‘Welcome’ screen opens.
- Enter your email address. The screen that is presented to you depends upon whether you have an existing account that is linked to an institution.
- If you have an account that is linked to an institutional credential, you will receive a screen prompt to sign in via your institution.
- Follow the screen prompts to sign in via your institution and to proceed to Engineering Village.
- If your account is not linked to an institution, enter your account password on the appropriate line of the ‘Sign in’ screen.
- Select the ‘Stay signed in’ check box if you want to remain signed in.
- Click ‘Sign in’ to proceed to Engineering Village.
