Emtree releases
Last updated on November 20, 2024
The Embase team releases 3 Emtree updates every year.
Post each release, the new content will be indexed with the new taxonomy. At that moment, the team performs a backposting which means that for older content, the index terms will be matched with their new preferred term.
If you are using Embase Flat Files, to fully benefit from the most current index terms, we advise you to process the next full backfile after each Emtree release.
The full release notes of past Emtree releases are available here: What new terms have been added in the latest Emtree release? - Embase Support Center (elsevier.com)
