What should I do if I spot something that doesn't look right on my abstract page?

If your paper is not displaying or is missing a correct formula, special character, or equation you can resolve it:
- By logging in to your SSRN account and updating the submission. When editing the submission yourself make sure to include html codes for subscript, superscript, special characters or formulas.
For example:

- If you need assistance please contact SSRN Support and we will edit your submission on your behalf.
DOIs on SSRN are assigned to full-text working papers.
- If your submission includes a full-text working paper, a DOI (Digital Object Identifier) will be added to the abstract page in the Suggested Citation area. DOIs are generated by Crossref and can take up to two weeks to appear on the abstract page. Once the DOI has been assigned, it becomes a permanent record of that preprint. Revisions have no impact on the original DOI assignment.
- If after waiting for the DOI to appear you still do not see it displayed contact SSRN Suppot.
- For more information about DOI’s visit the FAQ What is a DOI and how does it help my research?
The service:
- Extracts citations of the version of your paper referenced on SSRN when a PDF is uploaded or revised.
- Is linked to the Crossref lookup service, allowing for the display of Crossref citations for the version of your paper once it has a DOI and starts receiving citations beyond SSRN. This provides a more comprehensive view of how your paper is being shared online.
- The Total Citation Paper Count algorithm on the SSRN Author Page is specific to SSRN and will differ from citation counts in Google Scholar and other similar sources.
Our Citations Service is in the beta stage, and discrepancies in citations may occur. At this time, we cannot manually adjust the extraction process.
