How do I access my SSRN Account?

Last updated on August 29, 2025

Do you have an existing validated SSRN account but can't remember your SSRN User ID or Password?

  • Forgot your user ID ? — Your SSRN login/User ID is typically your email address.
  • Forgot your password? — Click on "Forgot Password" on the SSRN Sign In page. A password reset link will be sent to your email. Follow the link to set a new password.

How can I determine if I already have an SSRN account?

  • If you have a paper on SSRN, you have an account.
  • To access your account, go to the SSRN Sign-In page, enter your email in the "Create an Account" section, and click "Join SSRN."
  • You'll receive a validation email—click the link in that email to verify your account. Once validated, you can log in with your email and password.
  • Having an SSRN account allows you to manage your papers, check their status, and update your profile information such as ORCID, affiliation, and more.

Do you have multiple SSRN accounts you'd like to consolidate?

  • Please provide the user IDs of the accounts to be merged. Your SSRN ID can be found on the "My Account" page under "User ID" in the "Author ID" section.
  • Also include the names and emails associated with each account.
  • SSRN generally retains the oldest account.

I only want to change the status of my paper. Do I still need to log into my account?

  • Yes, we will walk you through a quick validation process and then you can quickly change the status of your submission on SSRN.
