Scopus Release Notes 2025

• November 20, 2025: Released an updated version of Similar Documents recommendations on the Document Details page

  • Similar documents shows relevant, related documents based on your keyword searches and search history.
• November 15, 2025: Lifted temporary Limit on Exported references via Bulk Document Export. Please see "What fields are used when exporting document from Scopus".  
• November 13, 2025: Scopus CiteScore Autum Refresh  
• November 07, 2025: Enabled the following temporarily disabled field for Bulk Document Export: "Tradenames & manufacturers". 
• November 05, 2025 (Important Update): The PDF, Print, and Email features for saved lists are no longer available. We recommend utilizing your browser's built-in 'Save as PDF' or 'Print' options, or copying content directly. See instructions on alternative methods here. A new PDF export option and email option will be available when this page migrates to new infrastructure in 2026.
• November 03, 2025: Query AI builder Beta released to limited users. 

  • A toggle which allows users to enter keywords or natural language and instantly convert to boolean query string. 
  • The users are able to edit and adjust the AI generated string at any time. 
  • The toggle is available for Basic Document Search on the Scopus home page to limited users. 
• Bug Fixes Highlights 

  • Fixed error when exporting documents to SciVal from Search Results. 
  • Fixed Deep Research Scopus AI errors. 
  • Fixed Save To List button issue from New Document details page. 

Bulk Document Export 

• October 28, 2025: Download workflow updated: removed extra steps where users had to go to the dashboard to retrieve the download file. 

  • The new updated workflow downloads the file automatically when completed (without the need to navigate to the Export dashboard). In addition, an indicator is added for large export jobs which could take longer to prepare and download. FAQ

• October 28, 2025: Scopus enabled the following temporarily disabled fields: Correspondence address, Abbreviated source title, and Funding Details. "Tradenames & manufacturers" will be re-enabled on or before November 15, 2025. Please see "What fields are used when exporting document from Scopus"  

• October 08, 2025: Scopus lifted the temporary limit restrictions (10 associations per document) from Authors, Affiliations, Serial identifiers, Source Title. "Include References" temporary limit of 10 is still in place and we plan to lift it on October 30, 2025. Please see "What fields are used when exporting document from Scopus"

New Organization Search MVP released for limited users

• October 30, 2025: Some users might see the New Organization Search as default.
• Minor legacy features were removed to assess their user need.
• Users can still access the legacy page.

• Fix duplicate in bulk document export author keywords. 
• Error in Export when Truncate to optimize for Excel is turned off
• Broken Broken Tutorial Video Link in Scopus Support Center
