There are more than 15 stages that a Patent can go through. SciVal has simplified this to three stages:
- Filed
- Granted
- Ceased
The filters in SciVal allow you to look at Patents that are, for example, still active (Filed and Granted) and to ignore the ones that are no longer active (Ceased).
