Accessibility updates January - April 2025

  • In the Ask ScienceDirect AI tool, the interface now announces when a response is loading and when it becomes available, improving clarity for screen reader users. We also replaced visually styled paragraphs with semantic heading tags (e.g., H3), enhancing navigation and content structure. WCAG Criteria: 4.1.3 – Status Messages, 1.3.1 – Info and Relationships
