What is the FDA classic collection?
Last updated on February 18, 2020For PharmaPendium we take various data sources including FDA approval documents. The PharmaPendium database covers FDA documents starting from 1992 and is regularly updated as new documents are released.
Based on customer requests for more historical data, we created the PharmaPendium FDA classic collection. The FDA classic collection extends the document content to also include Freedom of Information approval packages from 1938 till 1991.
Most of the documents in PharmaPendium’s FDA Classic Collection were previously available only through direct requests to the FDA/Center for Drug Evaluation and Research Freedom of Information Office and had to be pulled from microfiche. Our team went to the difficult job of converting the FDA’s microfiche files and PDFs into searchable electronic documents.
With PharmaPendium’s FDA Classic Collection, users can locate and search these historic documents in just seconds to uncover regulatory precedents, learn from historic mistakes and successes and apply these lessons to current projects in the drug pipeline.
The FDA Classic Collection can be added to your PharmaPendium subscription. Contact your local representative or request more information here
