How do I search for accented and special characters?

Last updated on October 27, 2025

You can search for accented characters either with or without the accent. The results will also contain both variants.

For Example: España and Espana will both be found whether you entered espana or españa.
This also applies to most special characters except Greek characters

To search specifically for a special character or a punctuation mark, enclose it in double quotes.

Note: The above does not apply to Greek characters (α, β, etc). You cannot enter Greek characters in your query. If you want to retrieve β-lactamase inhibitor, search for *lactamase inhibitor. Your results will contain both β-lactamase inhibitor and α-lactamase inhibitor.
