How do I browse by Indications?

Last updated on July 28, 2025

To browse and locate specific indications:

  1. Select Indications from the Browse drop-down menu.
  2. Type an indication in the search box. Autocomplete will show a list of indications that include the typed text.
  3. Browse through the indications taxonomy by clicking + and - to expand or collapse the links in the left pane.
  4. Click on an indication link in the left pane to display details in the right pane.
  5. Sources where the Indication-Drug association is found are listed in a table and can be exported. For example ‘FDA Label’ will be listed if the drug-indication association is found on the Drug Label. ‘Efficacy (FDA)’ is an indication-drug association that was found in Efficacy data extracted from an FDA drug approval package. (Note that this information is available regardless of which PharmaPendium modules you have access to, but you will not be able to view the data without a subscription to the Efficacy Module.).
  6. You can limit the source(s) where the indication-drug association was found in order to view data from a particular source. For example, limit to ‘FDA Label’ to only view drugs associated with the specific indication mentioned in the label. The Boolean operators ‘OR’ or ‘AND’ can be used when applying this limit.
