What are W8 and W9 forms and do I need to complete them?

W8 Form

You need to complete a W8 form if you do not pay tax in the US, as the payment is being made from a US entity. More information is supplied on the PIF form, under the W8 tab. The W8 form can be returned by post or fax with your PIF form.

W9 Form

A W9 is a US tax form. The W9 form must be returned by post and Elsevier will keep on file.
