How do I activate my subscription against my online account?

Before you can activate your subscription, you need to first create an account. You will only be required to register once; however, please note that you will need to activate your online access each time you renew your subscription.

Online only subscriptions must be renewed online. Then access is granted automatically.

Follow these steps to activate your online access:

Part one: Create an account

1. Go to The Lancet registration page.
2. Enter in your email, password and profile details. Note: Your password must be a minimum of five characters in length with no spaces. For security reasons, please try to use a combination of upper and lower case letters as well as numbers.
3. Click 'Register' at the bottom of the page.

Part two: Claim subscription

Once your email address and password have been submitted successfully:

1. Log in to TheLancet.com.
2. Enter your account number, which is listed in your print issue. Note: If you do not receive a print subscription, or you are unable to locate your account number or have misplaced your mailing label, please contact us.
3. Click 'Claim Subscription' on the top right hand side of the page.
