How can I access my organization’s Knovel subscription while working from home (remote access)?

Last updated on March 20, 2020

Knovel provides remote access in several ways:

  • Username / Password You can use your work / organization email address and password to log in from any location, as long as you have already registered with Knovel. If you have forgotten your password, please reset your password.
  • RegistrationIf you haven’t registered and do not have a username and password, please register. This will require you have access to your work / organization email address to complete the activation process.
  • Access through your work / organization You may normally access through your organization with no need to register. If so, you may try:
    • Academic organizations access via their library’s catalog. Logging in to the catalog and then finding Knovel or a subscribed resource will provide access.
    • Your organization’s VPN will provide access to Knovel when in use.
    • You may also register with your work/organization email address.
  • Access through Single Sign OnIf you normally log into Knovel with your organization or computer username and password, please go to the Knovel log in page and search for your organization. This should route you to your organization’s Single Sign-On log in page. Using your organization or computer username and password should provide you access.
  • Users who normally access through OpenAthens can go here to locate their organization and access Knovel.
  • UK Federation Shibboleth user can log in here to access Knovel via their organization.

If you cannot locate how you normally access Knovel or are having issues with remote access, please contact support for help.
