How do I use Knovel Browse?

You can access Knovel Browse from any page on Knovel by clicking 'Browse' from the navigation panel on the left-hand side of the Knovel website page.

Follow these steps to use Knovel’s Browse function:

1. On the ‘Browse’ homepage, there are three categories of content:

   • 'Subject Area Topics' - the subject areas you can browse with.
   • 'Premium Offerings' - if your company subscribes to any.
   • 'Introductory' - content available to all Knovel users.
2. To view content within an area:

   1. Click the hyperlinked subject to view all content in a topic.
   2. Click the '>' to view sub-topics under a topic. Clicking the sub-topic will display content relevant to the sub-topic.
3. To view content added recently to Knovel, click 'New Content'

   • The default view shows all new content.
   • Click a subject area for new content in that particular subject area.
4. To view only the content that is available in your subscription, click the ‘My Subscription’ toggle in the top right-hand corner of the page.
5. To find a specific topic, use the Subject filter. The search will only find keywords in the subject area topic and sub-topics.
6. By default the content will appear as an A-Z list, but you can sort it by Knovel Release Date by selecting ‘Knovel Release Date’ at the top right-hand corner of the content list.
7. You can further sort this list by clicking a topic in the filters column on the left.
8. You can also search by title using the 'Book filter' at the top of the content list.
