How do I claim access to a society journal subscription?
Last updated on August 31, 2022
The society may have arranged access to the journal website using a dedicated society login link. If so, you do not need to follow the steps below to register/claim to gain access to the journal content; instead, just follow the link provided by the society.
If your Society has not built a dedicated access link on their site, then you need to register and claim to access the journal content from the applicable journal webpage.

- After selecting your society name on this Claim page, do check if you have received an online access instruction on your registered email. If yes, please enter the sub-reference number that starts with 00175 (including the preceding zeros). A sample screenshot is provided below which would help you identifying the respective number.

Enter your membership number from your print label. If in doubt about your membership number, please have this checked with your Society.

- Enter your last name and click 'Activate Claim'
You now have access to the journal’s full-text content. You can verify this subscription by visiting the 'Access' tab within 'My Account'.

- If you are an existing member having access to the journal content and you were trying to claim access again you would come across this error message. In this case, please go to 'My Account' to check your existing access for your subscription. If the subscription is active, you can continue accessing the journal content and may ignore the Claim error.
- If the subscription status is “Blank/Expired” please reach out to your Society for further assistance. This could be due to a lapse in subscription.
