How do I search with Knovel?

1. Conduct a Quick, Expert, or Thesaurus search. The Document results list displays.
2. On the left side of the screen, beneath the ‘Refine’ results frame, click ‘Knovel Search’ to initiate a Knovel database search.
3. A new window will open to Knovel, and your most recent search term or search terms will automatically be entered into the Knovel search box.

Knovel Interactive Equations contain interactive engineering equations, a unit converter, a periodic table, and other tools. Knovel subscribers have access to hundreds of ready-to-use equation worksheets.

To preview the equation in HTML, run calculations using the built-in Equation Solver, or use personalization features, the user must create an account with Knovel via a registration form. Subscribers to Knovel must sign in to access all the features.

1. Select ‘More’ from the top of any Engineering Village page.
2. Scroll down to select ‘Interactive equations.’ The Knovel ‘Welcome’ page opens.
3. Follow the on-screen prompts to create a Knovel account or to sign in to an existing Knovel account.
