Notes and highlights help you mark important content, organize your study materials, and quickly return to key sections of your eBook.
Create Highlights and Notes in Elsevier eBooks+
Web Browser and Desktop App
- Open your eBook and select the text you want to highlight by clicking and dragging your cursor over it.
- Release the mouse button to display the annotation menu.
- Choose a highlight color or select the option to add a note.
- Enter your note and save your changes.
Mobile App
- Press and hold the text you want to highlight.
- Use the selection handles to adjust the highlighted area as needed.
- Tap Highlight to create a highlight using your most recently selected color.
- To change the highlight color, tap the highlighted text and select a different color.
- To add a note, tap the highlight and choose the option to add or edit a note.
Manage Your Highlights and Notes
- View your highlights and notes within the eBook while reading.
- Edit or delete highlights and notes at any time.
- Copy highlighted text for use in your personal notes, where permitted.
Tips
- Use different highlight colors to categorize topics or prioritize content.
- Add notes to capture key insights, reminders, or study points.
- Your highlights and notes remain associated with the eBook, making it easy to revisit important information.
