How do I re-number existing artwork, figures or other content files in EMSS?
Last updated on December 08, 2020To re-number artwork and figures that you've already uploaded, you're required to be in control of the contribution. If you've already submitted your contribution, request to have it returned to you.
Please note that only the following characters are allowed in the number field:
- Numbers
- Letters
- Underscore '_'
- Hyphen '-'
- Period '.'
How
- Select the project you're working on from the drop-down menu on your 'Welcome' screen.
- Click 'Go'.
- Click on the appropriate manuscript title in your 'To-Do' list on the 'Home' screen.
- Scroll down to see the tabs.
- Click the 'FIGURES' tab.
- Choose one of the methods below to renumber existing artwork and figures.
Re-number a single artwork or figure number:
- Scroll down to find the artwork or figure file.
- Click on the number.
- In the provided field, type the new number.
- Click 'Save'.
Re-number multiple artwork and figure numbers at once:
- Click 'Edit All Figure Numbers'.
- Change the artwork and figure numbers.
- Click 'Save'.
To re-label files that you've already uploaded on the Other Content tab, you're required to be in control of the contribution. If you've already submitted your contribution, request to have it returned to you.
Follow these steps to re-label content files such as boxes, videos, tables, etc., on the Other Content tab:
- Select the project you're working on from the drop-down menu on your 'Welcome' screen.
- Click 'Go'.
- Click on the appropriate manuscript title in your 'To-Do' list on the 'Home' screen.
- Scroll down to see the tabs.
- Click the 'OTHER CONTENT' tab.
- Choose one of the methods below to re-label existing other content files.
Re-label a single file:
- Scroll down to find the file.
- Click on the label.
- In the provided field, type the new label.
- Click 'Save'.
Re-label multiple other content files at once:
- Click 'Edit All Figure Numbers'.
- Change the desired file labels.
- Click 'Save'.
