How do I configure a link resolver within my account using the Admin Tool?
Last updated on November 19, 2024
A standard link resolver uses text and an accompanying image to represent a link external to ScienceDirect or Scopus. Account and consortium administrators can edit linking settings.
Available link resolvers
A link resolver is a set of linking preferences arranged by the account administrator or the Elsevier helpdesk. If a link resolver is available for editing, you can click its name to access the edit ScienceDirect external linking settings page.
ScienceDirect predefined linking partners
A ScienceDirect linking partner connects ScienceDirect content to related content and/or services on external sites. If a linking partner or associated relationship is available for editing, you can click its name to access the predefined linking partner editing page for ScienceDirect.
Important to know
- All image URLs must be from an HTTPS host to display on ScienceDirect.
- Link resolvers in ScienceDirect appear only in non-subscribed journal articles and book chapters.
- Changes to ScienceDirect link resolvers take approximately one hour to appear after being made in the admin tool.
- Edit privileges are available to consortium and account administrators. Group administrators only have view capability.
