How do subscriptions work on SSRN?
Last updated on August 26, 2021
SSRN is devoted to the rapid worldwide dissemination of research. Each of SSRN's research networks encourages the early distribution of research results by distributing abstracts and full text papers submitted by scholars around the world in SSRN eJournals. SSRN's email abstract eJournals currently cover thousands of topics reaching millions of viewers.
What is an eJournal? An eJournal is an email sent to subscribers, which contains abstracts of papers that have been written in the past year and have been submitted to SSRN. Each paper displays a title, author(s) names, and an abstract of the paper along with a link to view/download the full text paper (when available on SSRN). The number of eJournal emails distributed to subscribers each week is driven by the quantity of papers we receive in the subject area. See a sample eJournal.
There are many ways for you as an individual or an institution to take advantage of distributing eJournals.
Individual Subscriptions
SSRN users can select from a wide range of journals and topics via our Journal Subscription Manager.

Network access is required to subscribe to Fee-based journals. Individuals can buy network access for an annual fee that varies across networks, join an organizational site subscription, or request one-time limited period trial access. Once you have obtained access to a network you can subscribe to both Free and Fee-based journals in that network.
SSRN members may subscribe to institutionally sponsored Free journals without network access.
