Articles in Press are documents that have been accepted for publication, but have not yet been assigned to a journal issue. They are indicated by the Articles in Press symbol on document pages and in search result lists.
Scopus makes the pre-published versions of documents available online within four days after being transferred from publishers.
Note: Corrections to Articles in Press cannot be made because they are not yet published. Scopus can only correct a document if the data on Scopus deviates from the original published article. For more information see page 22 of the Scopus Content Coverage Guideopens in new tab/window.
Once the final version is published and made available, Scopus will overwrite the Article in Press in the database with the final version.
You can view Articles in Press for a Scopus source from the Source Information page.
How
- From the Scopus toolbar, click ‘Sources’. The Scopus sources page opens.
- From the Scopus sources page, use Search for a source or Browse sources to locate a publication. A results list of sources opens.
- Once you have created a source results list, click a publication title. The source information page opens.
- From the source information page, click ‘Articles in press’.
From Document search:
- Enter search criteria.
- Select ‘Article in press’ from the Document Type list.
From Advanced search:
- Enter search criteria.
- Then enter “PUBSTAGE(AIP)” to restrict your search to articles to press.
