How do I use the Author Feedback Wizard?

Use the Author Feedback Wizard to request changes or updates to the information on the Scopus Author details page:
- Set a preferred name for an author
- Update the affiliation of an author
- Add and remove documents published by an author
- Add and remove preprints published by an author
- Add and remove grants awarded to an author
- Merge author profiles
- Select an author name to open the Author details page.
- Select 'Edit profile'.
- Select if you are the author or making a request on the behalf of the author.
- Select 'Continue'. The Author Feedback Wizard opens.
- From the Author Feedback Wizard, select 'Author details'.
- From the Preferred name drop-down, select the desired name format of the author.
- From the Current affiliation drop-down, select the desired affiliation.
- Select the 'Review changes' button.
- Select 'Submit request' to submit the change for review.
Note: Select 'Continue editing' to return to the Author Feedback Wizard and continue making changes.
Remove documents from an author profile
- From the Author Feedback Wizard, select 'Documents'.
- Locate the document(s) to remove from the author profile.
- Select 'Remove from profile' for each document to be removed.
- Select the 'Review changes' button.
- Select 'Submit request' to submit the change for review.
Note: Select 'Continue editing' to return to the Author Feedback Wizard and continue making changes.
Note that changes are not immediate and do not appear in Scopus, or within the Author Feedback Wizard, until processing is complete.
Add documents to an author profile
- From the Author Feedback Wizard, select 'Documents'.
- Locate the missing document(s) in Scopus:
You can also select from the list of recommended documents. Select 'Add to profile' to add any documents to your Author Feedback Wizard document list.
- Below the document list, select 'Search for missing documents on Scopus'. The Search missing documents popup opens.
- Enter your search term in the Search field.
- From the Search by drop-down, select the type of search term entered:
- Article title, Abstract
- DOI
- PubMedID
- Title
- EID
- Select 'Search'.
- From the result list, select the document(s) to add to your Author Feedback Wizard document list.
- Select 'Confirm Author'.
- Select the author associated with the document.
- Select 'Add document'.
- Select the 'Review changes' button.
- Select 'Submit request' to submit the change for review.
Note: Select 'Continue editing' to return to the Author Feedback Wizard and continue making changes.
Note that changes are not immediate and do not appear in Scopus, or within the Author Feedback Wizard, until processing is complete.
Remove preprints from an author profile
- From the Author Feedback Wizard, select 'Preprints'.
- Locate the preprints(s) to remove from the author profile.
- Select 'Remove from profile'.
- Select the 'Review changes' button.
- Select 'Submit request' to submit the change for review.
Note: Select 'Continue editing' to return to the Author Feedback Wizard and continue making changes.
Note that changes are not immediate and do not appear in Scopus, or within the Author Feedback Wizard, until processing is complete.
Add preprints to an author profile
- From the Author Feedback Wizard, select 'Preprints'.
- Locate the missing preprints in Scopus:
- Below the preprint list, select 'Search for missing preprints on Scopus'. The Search missing documents popup opens.
- Enter your search term in the Search field.
- From the Search by drop-down, select the type of search term entered:
- Preprint title, Abstract
- Author
- Source
- Select 'Search'.
- From the result list, select the preprints to add to your Author Feedback Wizard preprint list.
- Select 'Confirm Author'.
- Select the 'Review changes' button.
- Select 'Submit request' to submit the change for review.
Note: Select 'Continue editing' to return to the Author Feedback Wizard and continue making changes.

Remove awarded grants from an author profile
- From the Author Feedback Wizard, select 'Awarded grants'.
- Locate the awarded grants to remove from the author profile.
- Select 'Remove from profile'.
- Select the 'Review changes' button.
- Select 'Submit request' to submit the change for review.
Note: Select 'Continue editing' to return to the Author Feedback Wizard and continue making changes.
Note that changes are not immediate and do not appear in Scopus, or within the Author Feedback Wizard, until processing is complete.
Add awarded grants to an author profile
- From the Author Feedback Wizard, select 'Awarded grants'.
- Locate the missing awarded grants in Scopus:
- Below the awarded grants list, select 'Search for missing awarded grants on Scopus'. The Search missing awarded grants popup opens.
- Enter your search term in the Search field.
- From the Search by drop-down, select the type of search term entered:
- Grant title
- Funder
- Grant ID
- Select 'Search'.
- Locate the missing awarded grants and select 'Add to profile' for each missing grant.
- Select 'Confirm Author'.
- Select the author associated with the awarded grants.
- Select 'Add awarded grant'.
- Select 'Submit request' to submit the change for review.
Note: Select 'Continue editing' to return to the Author Feedback Wizard and continue making changes.

- Select the author names to merge.
- Select 'Request to merge authors'. The Author Feedback Wizard opens.
- Select the author details to merge:
- From the Preferred name drop-down, select the desired name format of the author.
- From the Current affiliation drop-down, select the desired affiliation.
- Add or removed documents to be merged:
Remove documents from the author profile merge- Select 'Documents'.
- Locate the document(s) to remove from the merge.
- Select 'Remove from merge' for each document to be removed.
- Select the 'Review changes' button.
- Select 'Submit request' to submit the change for review.

Add documents to the author profile merge- From the Author Feedback Wizard, select 'Documents'.

- Select one of the available options and click 'Continue'. The Author Feedback Wizard opens and displays the list of documents for the author profiles to be merged.
Optional: Locate missing documents from the author profiles to be merged- Select 'Search missing documents'. The Search missing documents popup opens.
- Within 'Search', enter your search term.
- From the Search drop-down, select the type of search.
- Select 'Search'.
- From the result list, select a document to add to your Author Feedback Wizard document list.
- Select 'Confirm Author'. The selected document is added to your Author Feedback Wizard document list.
Optional: Add profiles to be merged- Select 'Select Profile'. The Author Feedback Wizard lists the results from your previous Author search.
- From the results list, select one or more author profile names to be merged.
- Select 'Review documents'. You are prompted to enter a preferred name for the merged author profiles.
Scopus provides a suggested preferred name, but you have the option to select other name preferences available in Scopus. - Choose a preferred name select 'Continue'.
- Select one of the available options and click 'Continue'. The Author Feedback Wizard opens and displays the list of documents for the author profiles to be merged.
- Review the documents then select 'Review affiliation'. The Review affiliation form opens. Scopus provides a suggested affiliation for the merged author profiles, but you have the option to select from the drop-down list.
- Choose an affiliation and select 'Confirm and Submit'. The Confirm page opens.
- Review the information then select 'Submit'.
Note that changes are not immediate and do not appear in Scopus, or within the Author Feedback Wizard, until processing is complete.
