How can I get a new password?

Last updated on November 26, 2021

To reset your EMSS password, visit https://editorial.elsevier.com/app/login and click the "Forgot password?" link.

This will lead to a reset submission page with information about resetting your credentials. Enter your exact email address that was used when you were assigned to the project and click the “Reset Password” button and you will be sent a reset email. As noted, make sure [email protected] is whitelisted or on your safe senders list in your email client.

Submitting your email address leads to a confirmation page with further instructions.

The reset email will arrive momentarily, containing a time-sensitive link to a password page.

If you do not receive an email from [email protected], please check your spam folder. If it is there, please remember to save that email address to your safe senders list or contacts.

If clicked within the allotted time, the link will take you to a password reset page, allowing you to reset their EMSS password. Note the minimum complexity security requirements in red.

Completing the password process will reset your credentials and automatically log you into EMSS.

Attempting to use the link provided in the Welcome email after the allotted period leads to a notice that it has expired, but you can still visit the "Forgot password?" page to try again.

What do I do if I have tried the correct password but it still doesn't work?

If your password still doesn't work, please contact your Content or Associate Content Project Manager for your project.
