Why do I get an error when trying to play a video?

This depends on several factors, including the age and type of your device, and the format and size of the video.

Videos in mp4 format will play straight from the mobile site. If you're on a desktop PC and your version of Windows is from pre-2009 you'll need to download Apple QuickTime player software from here. Please note: QuickTime 7 for Windows can be downloaded, but is no longer supported by Apple.

Videos in mpg (MPEG) format will automatically play on devices with a Windows OS as the mpg player software is embedded within it. MPEG players are available for other platforms:

• PC, Apple Macintosh and Oracle Solaris: Windows Media Player
• PC and Apple Macintosh: Real Player
• Unix: Mplayer
