Clinical Skills is an online skills reference, learning, and competency management system including around 1,300 Skills.
How
To access Clinical Skills, your institution must have purchased it. Once purchased, it will be listed as a content type in the Browse and filter menus of the ClinicalKey for Nursing product. Clinical Skills can be customized by Nurse Educators, who can add or suppress Skills content on ClinicalKey via the Skills product.
For more information on Skills, select an option below:
Clinical Skills includes the following:
- Quick Sheet: a short summary of the steps to perform a skill
- Extended Text: a detailed explanation of the skill
- Supplies: a list of the supplies needed to perform the skill
- Demonstration: animation or video of the skill being performed
- Illustrations: images and graphics to explain the skill further
- Competency Test: an online exam - results can be tracked and reported
- Checklist: a checklist used to assess competency in performing the skill
